This section provides a few example cases of work carried out using NBI profiles

Case One

Merisol USA LLC began using NBI brain profiling instruments and the Organisational Wellness Survey in 2003. Merisol was in the midst of a major business process change and it was imperative that the organisation quickly realign to the new business model.

After researching tools to help their leaders enhance the organisational culture and to support the process changes, Merisol USA LLC selected the NBI instruments, which they believe to have played an integral role in achieving their goals and creating a positive and proactive culture.

Merisol USA LLC have used the NBI tools extensively within the organisation for recruiting external candidates, developing teams, addressing creativity and problem solving issues, improving communication between employees and creating whole-brained task teams.

The Organisational Wellness Instrument proved so successful at identifying cultural issues, to target for improvement, that the global Merisol Human Capital team decided that the survey will be conducted annually at all Merisol sites. (Reference Kobus Neethling and Solutionsfinding)

Case Two

The Thinking Network has been working with a major banking group throughout the Asia Pacific region to improve the communication and negotiation skills of senior Relationship Managers (RMs) - people dealing with high value commercial clients. Following the pilot workshops the bank's learning and development group undertook a feedback study to identify what improvements were evident. As a result of feedback from the RMs on improved relationships and more sales achieved, the bank has decided to roll out the workshop throughout Asia from 2005.

Case Three

A major international clothing company has used a number of tools from the NBI suite. The adult version of the NBI has been used with a number of groups throughout the organisation to facilitate better understanding of personal challenges in the face of major organisational change. The Organisational Wellness Index has been used to establish a benchmark on current perceptions and will be repeated on a number of occasions to measure organisational change. the NBI skills profile and preference profile have become the standard inclusion wherever a clear picture of job fit or job readiness is required. Case Four

A large group of high schools in Australia has chosen the NBI to help teachers and students develop a more rounded approach to whole brain learning and teaching. The results achieved by the pilot group have been outstanding. (Reference The Thinking Network)
